Job Description


2372, INJECTION MOLDING SPECIALIST / MATERIALS / APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT:  IN location, within a reasonable drive of W. Lafayette.  International polymer giant offers opportunity and challenge to the Master's level degreed plastics professional with hands-on experience molding high performance polymers such as PEEK, polyamide, Nylon and PBT. 

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will be responsible for providing technical support to customers having resin issues at the press, and you will manage projects to meet the objectives of the business as defined by the Director. 
  • Your tooling expertise will enable you to help solve tool and process issues at the customer location (or over the phone) as needed.  
  • As time permits, you will work with customers and corporate marketing to identify new application opportunities and support the utilization of existing and new company products. 
  • This position also involves the technical coordination, and development of information for training programs required to support such introductions/applications at the customer site. 
  • Approximately 60% of the time will involve providing technical support to the customer base. 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requirements for the position include a MS degree in Materials Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Mechanical Engineering, Tool Engineering, Plastics Engineering or other similar technical discipline and a minimum of ten(10) years of related experience with expert knowledge in high performance polymers such as PEEK, polyamide or Nylon. 


Our customer offers an excellent benefits package, relocation assistance and a salary in the $100 - $120K range plus a 15% bonus potential. 
The ability to work in the US without sponsorship is required.
