Job Description

3020, PROCESS ENGINEER: CT  location, within one hour of  Hartford.  Leverage your career and take a great step forward.  If you are looking for a high visibility position with a nationally accredited plastic injection molding company, we need to speak.  This plastic injection molding operation is seeking dedicated,  highly motivated, degreed Process Engineer .

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • You will be accountable for new mold startups including qualifying the product and optimizing the process. 
  • You will work with internal and external customers and suppliers to adjust and improve the molds and equipment. 
  • You will use DOE and root cause analysis to analyze processes and determine optimum conditions. 
  • Your ability to assist technicians and other troubleshooting personnel to alleviate production problems including those on equipment, molds or gauges. 
  • You will participate in team activities to improve safety and tooling. 
  • You will participate in process reviews, cost reduction teams, mistake proofing and other special projects to improve the operations. 
  • Your experience in Continuous improvement and Lean manufacturing will ensure success as you help set standards in the tooling and processing areas. 

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Requirements include a BS in engineering (Plastics or Mechanical) and at least 3 years in experience in process engineering within an injection molding. 
  • Preferred background within: Medical device manufacturing, extrusion, rapid product development, creative design and hands-on environment.
  • Your skills should include project management, SPC, the ability to qualify equipment, a background in control processing, statistical tools and general injection mold tooling.
