Job Description

Our client, a global manufacturing company located in Monroe NC is hiring a Collector/Credit Analyst for its corporate office in Monroe, NC. This position will be responsible for collecting on assigned portfolio of accounts, working through discrepancies, and reconciling accounts as needed. The Collector will have a large portfolio to maintain and will be responsible for communicating status to upper management. In this position attitude is EVERYTHING, you will need to be outgoing and positive at all times. Specific responsibilities include: collection of an assigned portfolio of accounts totaling approx. $3m; reduction of DSO and 60+ day past due %’s via consistent customer contact and follow up; research, reconcile and resolve collection issues daily; coordination the resolution of invoice discrepancies in a timely manner; document all interaction with internal and external customers; provide copies of invoices and/or statements to customers as needed; investigate the credit worthiness of new customers via trade references and Dun and Bradstreet repots and perform financial analysis for customer credit lines.

 

 

Job Requirements

          High School degree required, Associates Degree a plus

          5+ years in a Corporate Commercial Collections/Credit Specialist role. (Building Supply/Construction collection experience would be helpful)

          Must have excellent research and resolution skills

          Must have a thorough working knowledge of Excel and Word

          Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills

          Outstanding skills in negotiation, and follow-up

          Must be a self-starter, and able to multi-task
